SVP / Senior Loan Officer
Rick was born in Gainesville, Florida while his father was completing his surgical residency at Shands Teaching Hospital. Rick moved with his family to Ormond Beach in 1964 where he attended local schools and graduated from Mainland High in 1977. Rick graduated from the University of Florida in 1983 with a bachelors degree in Economics and a minor in Building Construction. He started his 28 year banking career at Security First Federal as a Commercial Real Estate Underwriter. From 1985 to 1990 he served as Vice President of Commercial Lending at Heritage Federal Savings and Loan/American Pioneer. In 1990 Rick started his 15 year career at Barnett Bank/Bank of America as a Vice President and Relationship manager in the Commercial Real Estate and Builder Finance Division, serving clients in Volusia and Flagler Counties. In 2004 Rick became a Senior Vice President of Commercial Real Estate Lending at Cypress Coquina serving alongside his lifelong friend and college buddy, Bruce Page. Prior to joining the Intracoastal Bank lending team, Rick served as the Florida/Georgia Regional Manager of RBC's Builder Finance Group, managing clients in Florida, Georgia, and Texas. Rick is active in his community as a current Board Member and past President of Halifax Habitat for Humanity, member and former Board Member of the Volusia Building Industry Association, and lifetime Spike member of the National Homebuilders Association. Rick and his wife of 28 years, Toni, currently live in Port Orange with two of their three children.
