Daytona Beach, FL( February 26, 2014) - Intracoastal Bank is pleased to announce the groundbreaking for its new full service Volusia Banking Center on February 26that 8:30 am in Daytona Beach.
“We are ahead of schedule for the groundbreaking,” said President and CEO of Intracoastal Bank, Bruce Page. “City of Daytona and Volusia County officials have been great to work with during the permitting process and their support helped us accelerate the start of the project,” he added.
The bank is being built on their own property, which they purchased from Consolidated-Tomoka Land Company in December 2013. The site is located slightly east of Interstate 95, adjacent to Vince Carter’s restaurant on LPGA Blvd, Daytona Beach, Florida.
The Volusia Banking Center’s 9,000-square-foot office is slated to open by the first quarter of 2015 and will serve as the Bank’s main office in Volusia County. This will be the most centrally located bank in the main urban corridor of Volusia County. The design is innovative and includes the most advanced and modernized full service banking center in the area. The banking center will be supported by state of the art technology that will be showcased on a tech bar including a smart phone station and iPad area for customers to test virtual solutions. The bank will also feature two advanced ATMs, one for training new customers how to best utilize its high tech features, and the other will be located at the outside drive thru area. Twenty-year-old BETNR Construction, located in Ormond Beach, will be the contractor for the project.

Intracoastal Bank’s lending division has been based out of Volusia County for the past three years. The lending group will move to the new banking center and continue to be headquartered in Volusia County. Rick Wells, Senior Lender for the Bank said that “combining a full service banking center with the lending center will further enhance the quality of service we are able to deliver to our clients along with increasing the Bank’s ability to invest in our surrounding communities.”
